It occurred to me that I had failed to post Peter Ackroyd’s chapter on “The Old Curiosity Shop” before we began reading it. So here it is, along with his chapter on “Barnaby Rudge”.
I think we can read the chapter on “Barnaby” with no spoiler alert – Ackroyd doesn’t give too much away as he sets the scene for both the novel and the writing of the novel.
