afternoon break πŸŒ»πŸŒΌπŸ“š A few recent reads finished...if I made posts about everything I was starting or currently reading, there would be no end! πŸ˜‚πŸ“š I was wondering why the dining room was so fragrance-filled every time I walked by! My niece and I had picked a few drooping hyacinths yesterday. 🌸 Rach's first trip to Texas, to visit her Dickensian darling πŸ–€ hellebore, or the "Lenten Rose" - paradoxically represents anxiety, and hope πŸ’šπŸŒ± Early birthday gift from @sketchesbyboze: the Nonesuch #DavidCopperfield! πŸ˜πŸ“šπŸ–€πŸŽ© Together with the #NicholasNickleby he gave me last year, they are just the loveliest books I own πŸ₯Ή After an overnight shift, it's nice to have some holiday downtime to read. β€οΈπŸ“š #TheQuincunx by #CharlesPalliser is such a Dickensian, strange enigma of a book! Mysterious strangers clad in black, corpse candles, dark passageways, Chancery curses... Birthday/Christmas gifts from @sketchesbyboze 😍❀️ (besides the 1863 London maps, of course!)
